This week we have an episode about the 9/11 attacks. We will focus on a work that was being recorded the moment the attacks occurred: Disintegration Loops by William Basinski.
This work consists of old field recordings played in a tape loop that slowly deteriorates as it passes by the tape head, increasingly producing noises and cracks in the music as the theme progresses.
